Place of agriculture: Near Badavanahalli, Sira Taluk, Tumkur District We have irrigated land of about 30 acres. We grow banana, arecanut, coconut trees and other mixed crop. I live in Bangalore. We used to do manual drip irrigation. It was difficult to manage and monitor sitting in Bangalore. The labour at the site was unable to manage irrigation properly and we were not aware of what was going on. We came across the Avanijal controller and we installed at our site in Jun 2017. The controller can be configured and monitored by mobile app. Now dependency on labour is very minimum. I can also see the full farm irrigation status on mobile and need not visit or ask the labour to know what is going on at the field. It worked out very convenient way of irrigating my farm and monitoring at any time sitting far from the farm.
I have about 20 acres of irrigated land in Kollegala and I grow banana. It was difficult to manage and monitor the irrigation and fertilizer feed activity, specially in the night time. Due to this I was unable to irrigate full land at the frequency I need for good crop yield. Availability of labour was also a big challenge. I was looking for controllers available in India and imported. They were not meeting my requirements. I came to know about Avanijal controller and it was meeting all my requirements and budget. I got this controller installed in Oct 2017. I use the mobile app to configured and monitor water and fertilizer needs. I can see the full farm irrigation and fertilizer feed status and historical data on mobile. I grow Sugarcane in Baramati. I installed Avanijal’s controller in Mar 2019. It is easy and convenient use, especially during night time. It is saving in water about 30%-35% on and above with earlier drip irrigation.
It detects electrical voltage issues and stops the motor. It saved me once with motor working in bad voltage and detected the valve fault. It was easy for me to fix the exact issue.
I used other controllers earlier, the Avanijal controller is more advanced than the others. It provides me the ground reality at the farm, sends warnings and keeps irrigation and fertigation history.
